Exercise Info Now, by exercise I mean moving your body in a fun and safe way. Now many of you are saying, but I thought the Fat Chick said I don't have to be perfect. Well you don't. But if you exercise, you will be happier and you will feel better. So start figuring out how to get movement into your life. It could be as simple as going for a walk. A short walk. Even around the block just to get started. You're not trying to break Olympic records here, simply get going. You may be sitting there thinking, HEY, WAIT A MINUTE! Where are the glowing promises of thin thighs in thirty days? And I want Buns of Steel @#$% it. Well, here's the truth, I OBVIOUSLY did not get skinny myself. But that doesn't mean exercise isn't helpful. I got healthier, I felt better, I felt better about myself and I got much fitter. In fact I got fit enough to train for and complete a marathon. You may lose weight from exercise and you may not. Every BODY is different and there are too many contributing factors to count. I CAN promise that you will feel better. You will sleep better. You will feel better about yourself. You will be healthier. If you lose weight too, hey that's an extra special bonus prize. Remember, if you haven't exercised in awhile, you should talk to your doctor and follow any special instructions she gives. But if your doctor says its okay, and I'm guessing he actually started jumping up and down when you asked him saying YES YES YES, then let's stop procrastinating and START RIGHT NOW! Of course, you could just go for a walk. However, I personally recommend that you start with "The Fat Chick Works Out". It's a great DVD designed for people who are just getting back into exercise. |
